Louisiana Fried Chicken: Meet the Employee of the month

Louisiana Fried Chicken Minneapolis, MN.
Marzell Harris, CEO/Owner of Minneapolis’ Louisiana Fried Chicken has worked hard to install a new culture inside and outside of his business. While it is important to have great customer service, it’s also important to celebrate those who exceed expectations by co-workers, managers and people that stop in and eat.  Join Mr. Harris and IBNN NEWS in welcoming the Employee of the Month for July 2011.

Fayidatt O. has been an employee at Louisiana Fried Chicken since it opened in May 2011. She says, “Working here in my neighborhood for one of the best family dining restaurants is a wonderful experience. The staff I work with makes each day different and fun. I look forward to coming to work.”

Stop by Louisiana Fried Chicken over the 4th of July weekend - order some food and say hello to Fay!

Louisiana Fried Chicken Celebrates their first Juneteenth (Photo blog)

Louisiana Fried Chicken management and employees celebrated their first Juneteenth in Minneapolis on June 18, 2011.

Louisiana Fried Chicken in North Minneapolis

Marzell Harris CEO/Owner
Readers of Insight News might have seen the front page cover of the local Black newspaper promoting, courting and pushing the new fried chicken franchise in north Minneapolis. After a visit today, I spoke with Marzell L. Harris, CEO/Owner of  Louisiana Fried Chicken, because for the first time in a while, his model seems like one that will work in north Minneapolis and promote a fresh, safe place to dine with family, friends and co-workers.

On last Saturday, Louisiana Fried Chicken opened to the general public located in the strip mall on the 900 block of West Broadway. Mr. Harris’ vision was one of opening a family friendly restaurant with professional staff and great food.

Mr. Harris told IBNN NEWS, “This is not just another chicken joint. We’ve pulled together some of the best-of-the-best by bringing in community members that worked as managers in the food service industry to provide top-of-mind experiences when our guest dine-in, take-out or join us for lunch or dinner on our outdoor patio.”

Like the unique music that originates in the South, Louisiana Fried Chicken is the Bourbon Street of Chicken. The unique spicy Cajun flavor will Jazz your taste buds and put a smile on your face. The franchise is popular in California, Nevada, Arizona and Texas.

Louisiana Fried Chicken Was created and developed by Joe Dion. After a decade of experience with Jack-in-the-Box and Pioneer Chicken franchises, Joe decided to start his own. Over a year in development, LFC was born out of many research trips to New Orleans and experimentation in the family garage. The first store opened in August of 1976 in Los Angeles and the response by the public was so overwhelming that 10 company stores were established by 1979. Joe sold his stores and began licensing the trademark and recipes to independent operators. He is now happily retired and has turned over operations to Michael P. Eng.

Louisiana Fried Chicken offers hard working, dedicated entrepreneurs a valuable business opportunity because it allows them to establish a business that competes directly with the big franchise chains for a fraction of the investment outlay and without royalties.

LFC is not a franchise, it is a licensing arrangement which allows you to use the LFC trademark and prepare and sell LFC products in your restaurant. We are looking for motivated, independent entrepreneurs with quick service restaurant management experience to establish and operate their own LFC stores.
